SOULSTICE CSA is an outpost for Enterprise Farm's East Coast Share. This multi-farm CSA offers weekly boxed shares of mostly organic fruits and vegetables. As suggested by the name, each share includes produce only from the East Coast. Farms range from Prince Edward Island to Homestead, Florida. Shares include items such as storage vegetables acquired locally, greens and sweet potatoes from the Carolinas, and lovely citrus fruit and strawberries from Florida.
The benefits of getting our food from an East Coast "foodshed" are numerous. From the consumer end, members enjoy produce that has traveled less and is consequently fresher and more nutritious. For regional growers, this relationship provides an established market for their harvest, helping to ensure the viability of sustainable farms. Closer to home, we provide a market for our New England organic farmers and encourage them to produce more storage vegetables for winter distribution, and to develop means such as hoop houses for three season growing.
Soulstice pick-ups are each Tuesday, January 3rd thru May 1st. The full season is 18 weeks, though you may join or drop at any time. Please see the Location and Cost + Payment Plan tabs for further information.
